Biography
Wan Jeffrey Basirun graduated with a BSc degree in Chemistry from the University of Malaya in 1991. He then furthered his studies to the University of Southampton and was conferred a PhD in Electrochemistry in 1997. He started his career as a senior lecturer in the Department of Chemistry University of Malaya in the same year, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2003 and Professor in 2011. He is currently supervising more than 10 PhD students and has supervised/co-supervised 12 PhD students to completion.
Research Interest
His research areas are Electrochemistry, Material Science and Nanotechnology, has published more than 130 research papers. He has managed to establish research collaboration with several groups in South Korea, Australia and Iran.
