Biography
Misni Misran has been an academic member in the Department Chemistry, University of Malaya since 1999. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Chemistry from the Flinders University of South Australia in 1991 and subsequently received his Honours degree in 1992 from the same university. He later work as temporary teacher for secondary boarding school before joining Universiti Sains Malaysia as a research officer from 1993 - 1994. He completed his Ph.D. from the University Of East Anglia in 1999. Misran was promoted to his current position as professor in 2010. His academic interest is in Colloid and Surfactant Chemistry. Over the past 16 years, His research area is mainly in drug delivery systems with main focus in liposomal carrier system. He is also working in other colloidal related systems such as nanoparticle synthesis, nanolipids, creams, emulsions and microemulsions. He is the author and coauthor of over 90 publications.
